For those who appreciate premium quality cheese, then Northumberland Cheese Company with its traditional methods of craftsmanship, which have stood the test of time, is a must.
From their renovated old granary on the Blagdon Estate in South Northumberland , they use only the best handmade farmhouse practices, producing high quality richly flavoured gourmet cheeses.
These delicious cheeses, which have collected many top awards over the years, including awards from the British Cheese Awards, World Cheese Awards and Bakewell Show to mention a few.
Cow's Milk Cheeses
- Chevington, mould ripened from jersey Milk
- Cheviot, feels and taste a like a blue
- Coquetdale , mould ripened with a complex range of flavours, semi hard cheese.
- Hadrian, A young Cheviot with Caraway seeds, as the Romans made.
- Northumberland Cheese Range , Gouda washed Curd style, creamy and smooth with a full flavoured after taste. The range includes – Original, Oak Smoked, Chive, Nettle, Garlic and Chilli.
- Reiver, Mould ripened cheese with a complexity of flavour that demands a sophisticated palate
- Tynedale, more like a traditional dale cheese
Goat's Milk Cheeses
- Brinkburn; mould ripened cheese with the most prizes, now in New York finest Deli
- Elsdon, Smooth, wonderful for cooking.
Sheep's Milk Cheese
- Redesdale, The 1 st Cheese Mark made in 1985. Smooth and that richest assosciated with Sheep milk
All our Cheeses are made with Vegetarian Rennet and freeze very well. Made in a variety of sizes to suit all needs
